Erik Vogt

Erik Vogt has been Burning since 2014, former and future Apo officer, and volunteer leader with extensive experience in event operations, safety, governance, and risk management. He served four years on the Apogaea Board of Directors, including as President, and has contributed to the development of emergency action plans, incident management procedures, and organizational policies.

At Burning Man, Erik has spent years volunteering with Playa Info, taking on operational leadership roles spanning setup, daily operations, and strike. His involvement in regional events combines hands-on problem-solving with a broader interest in how volunteer-driven organizations manage risk, navigate regulation, and sustain their communities. This is his 4th BAM. Wait, that’s all of them!

Outside the dust, Erik is a business strategy and technology consultant with decades of experience helping organizations navigate difficult decisions, and develop practical solutions. He brings that same perspective to the challenges facing regional burns, particularly the increasingly complicated intersection of insurance, risk, organizational responsibility, and community values.
